The problem with America is stupidity. Im not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why dont we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself.

Go to "Character Options" ... then "Change Portrait" .. pick the one you want by marking it, and then click "Save"

Those people are former staff, and thus entitled to a portrait different than other players.

If you were really set on having custom pics on nightmist you could do it.. but everyone else with the same picture that you had would have that one too. If you change one of the files in your nightmist pictures folder (by locating the one your character has) you can substitute the game picture with one of your own by renaming it that #. The only problem is.. everyone that had that # pic that you changed will have the pic that you changed it to. No one else would view this change in pic but yourself however.

i think i made it so the character pictures were held in the client itself for speed, so are not actually used.

Why does being ex-staff entitle them to other portraits?

Being staff deserves alot more than that for the effort staffers put in, however there final downfall may be.

He is making a point. Like Oracle said, a different picture is the least they could do to show appreciation for the time and work that player/person put into making Nightmist a better place. They couldn't give them anything like gold or items or stuff like that because that would promote people to become staff and then leave for free stuff. I think you are unaware of the effort most staff members put into this game that YOU PLAY FOR FREE.

Yeah, but what was the point in saying 'whats it to u anyways'? I was asking why. And btw, we play for free because it's not worth paying for..

haha Good one there Bobbity. How about you stop bickering, Bobbity learns to be grateful for all the past staff members have done, (Or will hopefully stay quite..) and we stop bickering? Sounds good if you ask me. And I meant to put stop bickering in there twice.

| So it's not worth paying for? What if JLH decides that you're right? What if he stops paying for the equipment, the electric bill, the domain and all the other costs involved in it? Talking about paying, staff is doing volunteer work, so in a way they are paying for the game too by not demanding a pay for all the hours they work to improve the game. What if they decide it's not worth paying for it (in ways of refusing to put in free work)? Then there wouldn't be a game... a game that you obviously enjoy playing enough to stick around. Yet you say it's not worth paying for. To answer your question about why staff (and ex-staff) is entitled to a custom pic is already answered above. Look at it as a small repayment for the hard work they put into the game, the hours of area developing, the watching of trades, holding moshes and other events. A custom pic is the least they deserve for what they are doing.

That was my opinion and you aren't gonna change it. And yes my question was answered AFTER I asked why.
