thats how i've been dealing with them. with total success so far, but i am disapointed that i'm not doing more damage to them. for a class with no armor and little dexterity you'd think you could cut through them like butter but in actuality i have yet to tell the difference from my end.

Actually, my comment was more of a joke...saying the best way to deal with them is to hide (covert). My parties run around invis all the time now just to avoid instant death. My poor little mana suckers don't stand a chance otherwise.

I was thinking 2 really high level thieves, that can assasinate with full stam, one right after another, should be able tho kill the zerker before he has a chance to drink any pots, but then again, if he does drink, then you shall be smiten. If that don't work, try 3, and so on and so on..., but i think one on one, zerker has the advantage, unless he misses berzerk, or smite, on like 2 occasions, then your use of your pots will come into play.
