Alot of people try to work alone, cus there are many more spoils alone, and NM is a game where that can be achieved, unfortuantly.

I agree and completely try to do as you've said, I'd rather fight along side my 'enemies' as they may have found out. Yet still, another thing I've learnt from it, is that they still take advantage when they can, and when it suits them..

I'm a loner so-to-say in game. I do things by myself generally. I train by myself, and i like to fight bosses by myself. I know my way around the nightmist map well enough to not need someone to direct me.

To me, its much easier to work by myself, because people get in my way.

There is just one problem with team work. Yes i'm all for it but. . . You work as a team. You become great as a team. But in the end i always find that no matter what there is always somone that wants all the power and spoils and glory.  There for causing a civil war.  In the end one will rise to the top with all the power while the others get nothing.  I dont mean to be negative or anything but i dont there is but maybe 50 people or maybe no ppl in this world capable of working as a team and staying a team.  Greed will tear the team apart and everything around it and of course i could go on about greed and all but i think i have said my part.

I think in a game enviroment, that applies more so, than in real life. If you mess someone around in real life, it comes back at you, usually in the way of a fist.
In game, you can just run to another town, or stay in a No-PK spot. Hense greed and power being two of the most over ruling aspects of the way people play Nightmist.

I do however, know of a few people who are willing to share, and play nicely, who aren't out for themselves - And people wonder why I'm in Draco?

Ahhhhhh I like the post. Teamwork is ever so good. Put away your peddy differences and any good friend can look at his other teamate and not be jealous of his spoils. Most things get done with teamwork its a good idea that people help out each other. Suppose my involvement in sports has helped me decide this but I find things are easier with more then one person. Like they say 2 heads are better then one. Why not add a couple more Smiley

i agree with what alone said.  People can run on here.  But in irl when you do betray a person or even a team you cant log off.  You cant run away and be safe.  Thats one of the down falls of the game but if i or anyone else chooses to play the game then thats are choice and we will have to deal with the positive and negitive sides of the game.  I also agree that 98 percent of the people on nightmist are filled with greed and the will to get as much power as posible in any way posible.  I am not crying btw i'm just pointing out that if people want to make the nightmist fun and they way it used to be they gotta lighten up and not make the game all about them and greed.

There is a big difference between what you make sound like sharing, and teamwork.  Teamwork could easily consist of partying up with a couple friends just to go train you own crits along with theirs.  In no way could greedcrush it, because there is nothing to come from it but personal gain for each involved.  Even if one decides to turn on the others, all is not lost, there are plenty of people who need help out there, and helping them, helps yourself.

As in the context of real life, I know many people who will drop everything they are doing to help me, and I would do the same for them.  Many organizations and sports all use teamowrk to their advantage also.  The biggest thing that I can think of that shows humans ability to band together for better good is marriage.  What else is marriage, other than two people banding together to form a lifelong team,to help each other further themselves and their happiness?  And yes I know marriages break, as do teams and organizations, but there would not be all of these if it were not for humans need for one another, and the need to survive.  I feel pity for those who say they need no one, and that they are totally self-reliant, I for one would rather not spend my life alone.  And for those who say they need no one to survive, just themsselves, I find that quite the lie.  There are very few people who fend for themselves, by growing their own food, cooking their own food, and doing absolutely everything needed to survive on this basis.  Our society is set on the basis that each does their own job, so we can all live effeciently.  There would be many problems in the world if all farmers stopped growing food, or stopped breeding livestock.  So before you say you don't need a team, remember, each person has their place, and when you do your job, others survive, and vice-versa.

95% of the time I'm training/working by myself. Maybe once in awhile I'll meet someone at a boss and we take it down. Hardly ever have planned training partys with anyone. That might be in part due to my clanlessness. Works fine for me.

With how the game is right now, team work is not needed. Altough I do agree teamwork is a very important part of the game, it's not needed anymore by those who wish to solo and get drops/gold without having to share.

Why would someone want to take their whole clan to AoP, TK, Lag when they can solo it?

(and yes, it is possible to solo those bosses, trust me...)

Nightmist lost the quality of teamwork when alts started to be abused the way they are. Teamwork will never play a solid contributing factor to play in Nightmist due to this.
