so yea. ive seen some other people complain about the value of dex. i realized this too when my pally got rounded my tadpole. my pally had 29 dex. not too logical /shrug so then. i made a horc zerker with 5 dex. raged him so he had 1 dex. lvled him to lvl 10 in just 2 hours and 2 minutes. and on top of that. there were 3 assassinates that people missed completely. kinda wierd... but hey. now i have a lvl 10 zerker with 0 modded dex

Dex doesn't play a big part in hitting as most people think. It's more based on lvl/class. I laugh at people who buy aoh/aolp. It's not worth it.

I know it affects dodge rates as well, but I like to take things in a realistic fashion. So it adds like 2-3% onto your dodge rate. Does that mean that you will dodge more? No, it doesn't. You can dodge more. A miniscule amount. But then again, I never was a big PK'er. It might make a difference if you are into that playing style (90% of Nightmist ::sigh::). For 1 mil you could buy a nice character...a whole other character added to your party is much more valuable than a couple % added to hit and dodge.

you can say 3% won't make a difference but with the amount of hitting and dodging done in nightmist i'd wager it makes a larger difference than we notice. if you have 20 dex and add a aoh and sg's you've just raised your dexterity 10%, that does make a difference. if someone does two rounds on you (10 hits), certainly one is affected that would have previously been not inclined to have been affected. suffice to say, since the majority of interaction in nightmist is hitting stuff and dodging stuff, little things do make a difference. maybe not perceptable but certainly calculable.

What dex does do is if you have 2 good arch crits, one has a dex mod over the other, gives him/her the advantage in a fight between them.
Ive tried zero dex crits (roll a 5 dex orc zerker, rage and battleaxe) and the hit just as often as 19 and 18 dex crits of the same level

Used to be a bug with berserkers whereby you could rage, then reset your character. The strength and dexterity changes would be permenant. Repeat this to get negative dexterity.
