I am curious to know whether Nightmist wants a newspaper to focus around the game itself (ie: evaluations of game progress, observations of the game from different standpoints, interviews, etc.) or a role-playing style (ie: fiction news and stories).
Please state your opinion. Yes, we can do both, but I feel it'd be a waste to devote time to something that isn't desired or necessary.
And no we have not yet started taking applications for writers. That will be at a later date.

Paper that is focused around the game itself. Featuring a new short story by a Nightmist player every week. (Staff or Nightmist press workers could vote on the best story.)

I like the first idea myself. As I have stated in the past it would also be interesting to add small notes to each page. Some ideas I had was possibly which crits arch in that month. The person who got to arch could just memo a np writer with the level up and have it posted in the paper. And my personal favorite is the top 10 pkers for the months. Not players, but crits. I know that smart guy JLH can come up with a way to track pks over a period of time.

Yes I do believe a newspaper would be great, Maybe there could be a new tip each week to help the new players like maybe a secret mumble for the new thieves or a secret way to get somewhere. Just a suggetion.
