Fun times in the old orc caves!

The other night after the rugby, i was asked to pick a clannie up from the grassy path, as i was highly intoxicated and it was bout 2am (from memory) i stumbled accross the orc caves.
As you can imagine memories came flooding back, I remember having a party of journeymen and fighting orcs for what seemed to be a decent ammount of exp and money. Anyhew, i was no more than lvl 20 back then, now i prolly wouldnt spit in the place, BUT, i feel it should be restored to its former greatness.
Much blood was spilled down (mainly mine) but i remember fighting off other journymen, and proudly bringing back 5k from a trip to put towards my hally.
So should orcs be restored to giving some decent exp? or is it better how it is? or has the orc exp allways been the same and im just and idiot?

definately. i also remember spending hours in those caves killing orcs and trolls. I also agree that exp should be added back to the orcs and then we can go back with our parties and gain back our 100k an hour

I remember being scared by more than 1 orc on my square.  But yeah, the caves were good, particularly when you get asked where a good place to train is. As far as i know, trolls are still good exp though, so maybe some more levels could be added with more trolls and granite beasts etc.
Bring back orc exp!

Since the exp change, i jst don't even think about going to the area anymore. Even if it was like 5 or so exp less than it used to be, it'd still be a huge improvement.
When people ask where to train, it's so limited to specalist areas. Rather than a simple, near to town area, where people can train effectively.
So, i vote to return the Orc Caves back to their former glory.

First time I saw macros I thought "WTF is this??" know I couldn't live without them. lol
But as for orcs, many a good time has been spent down there. I remember with a thief I use to have and making ALOT of gold down there from stealing from oblivious people. Then when the realized they and other parties I had stolen from were teaming up casting vision, trying to kill me. I would stay around there just to see how pissed the people would get. heh
Now they're useless.... (To me anyway...)

i think the entire point of lowering exp was to make training a bit ahrder.
same when they deleted jahanna. it was too easy to train in desert.

orcs weren't that great of xp to begin with keep that in mind. Now when someone asks, "Hey where should I train a lvl 15 thief?", you never hear orcs, before you would see bt flooded with training noobs and the caves as well. Where now...Gnolls(suck) Swamps(imo that place is a pain in the ass) and the Large/Royal forests now mainly.
you have to admit that if orc xp was restored it wouldn't make a huge difference on the time it takes to lvl a crit, only the places they were leveled, bring orcs back!

Training on orcs was never easy, it was hard work since the areas were so easy to get to, other people training and pkers would run riot all over them!!
The way i see it, it was just another few places for new players to get there journeymen to adept, which is increasingly hard with people like us looking for an easy slaughter! the places for people to train lower lvls is very sparse nowdays, making these areas very easy for bored people like me to target, and due to the many areas with orcs you stood a fighting chance of not coming across pkers.

It's that there's a lack of areas for people who want to just run outside and do five minutes of training, and notice something change. An extra grand or so in the bank.. Or maybe a few thousand exp more.

apart from that ONE orc north of bt (it seems a shame that orcs are ruined just coz of that ONE lonely orc, when orccaves/sentant are further away), small snakes, large snakes, brown/black bears, skeletons, bandits, anacondas ogres, theives, ruggedrogues, spiders, sentry spiders, giant spiders, badgers, hedgeminions, warthogs, and trolls are closer to town and give more xp...
bring back the orc!!!!

To throw a monkey wrench in this therory. Why are the swamps still the best exp ingame for low levels? I would even be willing to do away with the orc caves if the swamp and current map for the orc caves was combined to make a larger area. Swamps need to be larger, orc caves are useless anymore...

Restore the Orc Caves, cuz they blow with that low exp. I used to use them all the time to train low levels. And yes, i do also remember going there and putting that 5k toward my hally, after an hour long trip through the caves with regular pots.
