Museum Keys

I understand that when the museum was first done no one really thought it would be that big of a hit. I understand why the keys were made. However, with the expansion of so many classes and the growth of the game, I don't see the necessity of keeping the keys around. Unless you can attack the mayor and get a key, then the second floor is untouchable by pacifists. And even then it's untouchable for so many in the game because most can't afford to pay 35K and up for one key. I can understand a key for the 4th floor and basement. Those two floors are valuable. So keeping those two keys are important. However, the hally doesn't require a key. And really it's worth more. A stair key 1 and museum key costs almost as much if not as much as the hally used to cost and it's a one time use only. I know many may not share my views on this. Honestly, that's fine we all see things differently. However, to make an area and then have it so secluded because some clans do over-run a boss and then charge far more than they should actually charge, or make it where one class doesn't stand a chance to enter the area because that boss can't be killed by them is really tilted. Staff has done a great job of keeping the balance of the game, but I think this is one area that's kind of been neglected at the same time.

Just because you have a hard time getting a key doesnt mean the game should be changed to make it easier for you. Suck it up and try harder.

they shouldnt change the game due to the rush of people to lvl 1 class (pacifists). The museum w/o keys would suck, people could then rob it easier, come pk easy, and it would turn into every other area pretty much, the keys protect it, hally doesnt take a key but you'd usually have to kill monsters to get to it, same with captain. Spider king takes a key, Atrium monarch takes a key...but the museum isn't a boss. Changing the museum to make it so that people could take their pacifists there would just make it how the rax is right now...empty til spawns, then empty again..it'd suck in the end..save up and buy a key...or go steal the drop if you cant kill the mayor on your own w/o getting jumped. Edit- Making an new undead area would be cool. Something like the orc caves, like skeletal orcs and such on first floor, but making it harder as you go down til you get to like....some kind of undead sand spiders. Although i think they'd need lower exp since healers can do more damage than any other class, but that'd own since the only place you can really train a high lvl cleric atm is the museum and that problem isnt temporary like the pacifist training craze is, it has been around a long time cause if you try to train in rax you get jumped, there is no way to gain exp on a higher lvl there. You cannot train in Rax once you're lvl 20, and after 22 you cannot train in the barrier forest, i think making some more floors in the rax would be a bad idea since it'd be right next to the rax and people would still just check the whole place for pks really easily...it oughta be something out of town a ways....like..other side of dendenya or something I dont think it should be healers only though, but w/o super gold, just something like...higher hp than modern art sculptures and same gold? I dunno..this is getting long and most likely would never be added especially since i cannot map it and describe it to turn it in, and by "cannot" i mean "am too lazy to".

You're missing the point here. It's not about pacifists. Personally I enjoy the barracks. I've met alot of people there that normally I wouldn't have any other time. This game to me isn't about leveling and all that crap. However, I do feel that there's an unbalance in the game. I could stay level 10 or be level 30 as far as I'm concerned. Being around friends is what's important to me. The point of this is the balance. An area has been made that's "public to all", yet it secludes those that don't run around on 6 alts to get one key. It's not like I'm saying anything about the Halberd, Spider Gauntlets, CPA, DoS, or anything of the such. We're talking about an area that's being secluded away from other lower levels that can't go against the mayor because a few dominate it with their countless alts then sells the item for 35K and more which most low levels can't afford. I included the pacifists because whether you like it or not they are part of this game. Clerics can't go against Rangers, thieves, zerkers for the key and survive it. Many other classes can't either. One shouldn't have to be forced to have 6 and more alts just to enjoy an area that staff claims all is welcome to train in. Fact is, all isn't welcome to train in the area for everyone else only see gold as the motivation of the game rather than enjoyment of the game.

So you're saying people who trained crits, which is harder than sitting and talking to friends you've got to switch boxes and hold buttons and run from pkers depending on the party, shouldn't have any advantages over people who just started playing? They shouldn't be able to use the things they've worked in game for to get advantages over people who haven't done as much as them in the game? That doesnt really make sense to me at all.

well, about the mayor wiccan er w/e.. ur wrong, u dont need 6 alts. Ive killed that ho countless times with my level 29 fighter.. it wasnt even arch.. and i killed it with just that one alt. Also, ive killed it with my mage, running back and forth getting mana at the pub. Sure, most of the time you need more alts to take care of ppl that are already there.. but alot of the times, i find myself hitting the mayor at leisure all by myself with a single alt. Its not that hard.. you just gotta check the mayor out more often.. ppl gotta sleep, yanno. lol
