Roller has been very mean to me last couple of weeks.. no decent rolls.
but.. in the space of two days i got 2 5 stat perfect dwarves...

SEVEN goddam dex.... TWICE!!!!!!
yet... a month or so ago i managed to roll a 18 x 21 18 17 17 halfling (now l17 ranger) and a 21 18 18 21 18 x dwarf (now l25 zerker) in the same 10 mins rolling.
Also about ten mins after orcs came out i rolled a 1-off 5 stat (1 off dex, crap char), now a l19 zerker. Yet every time i try to roll an orc now ive never got more than 2 perfect stats... and its usually int and char
So i propose.... make the crit roller a monster, put it in a room south of boars tusk, so when you roll another awful crit..
You rapidly fired at the Crit Roller for 100 points of damage, destroying the infernal thing.
Also...
it would have no dex, so you would hit it every time, and it could fight back but it would always miss.
it would have little str, but that dosnt matter coz it never hits.
also little con, so you always kill it first strike, even if you miss.
No wis, you can beam it for 100 a go
Also anything that can roll such insane stats cannot be alive, therefore it is undead and you can heal kill it. Since cha is the only stat it can roll, give it 10000 char so every time you aid it, it takes about 50000 damage.
But before you all start thinking easy xp, since the crits this thing rolls always are deleted and have no chance of even getting to lvl2, it will give no xp.
Anyone else had awful experience with this, er, thing?

Where you roll your own stats, then have 8 points to randomly distribute to various stats of your choice. Like it was pre-reset. However I think the randomness of the roller is a god thing.
Explain to me why you think it should be changed, and not just for personal reasons?

There is nothing wrong, nor do I believe any changes have been made to it(I could be wrong). As long as I`ve been rolling I've found out one thing about the roller. It's like slot machine. As it stands right now we have 7 machines(races) if one race just isn`t hitting try rolling another. I've found that if I don`t get any decent rolls within the first 200 rolls(or the second time you are asked to do a math problem)it might not be time for that race to fall. I've also found that by switching races in the event that you've not produced a decent looking crit within the the first 200 rolls that your more likely to get a 4 or even 5 stat from another race pretty quick. Now I know that ya'll want the halflings and dwarves with those 5 perfect stats, but it just sometimes isn`t ment to be.
So either learn to be a little more patient or less picky about the races you want and thing will fall in place. Keeping in mind that your odds of a 6 stat are almost 1 in 3,000,000, so your not going to roll for 15 minutes and get anything real good unless it is just your time....
I have more time logged rolling then I do actual game time on a crit. My first 5 months playing this game I rolled rolled rolled. So I might not know everything about the game, but Momba knows the rolling machine.

The thing that sucks about the roller, is if it was changed, then everyone will have a hard time matching up to the ppl who already have the perfect crits...new players will always be stuck in the sand...while the ppl that had crits before it was changed can live their life knowing that the roller is screwed and they dont have to worry about ppl getting better crits than them...well at least until someone with infinite patience comes along...
hmm...my sniper rifle might do the trick....

The current roller doesn’t really need to be modified, at least in my opinion. Making the roller easier wouldn’t help the game any it would just make perfect characters even easier to obtain now than what they were before.
If being able to kill a roller would make some of you feel better, and allow you to relieve some built up frustration, then by all means, power to you.
