Ok i think that the exp in arena's should be lower than outside the cities, but not to the extent that it has been changed to.
For instance if you get 5000 exp for every 50 damage done outside a city, why dont you have 4000 exp for every 50 damage in the arena's, and the arena's then should vary in the amount of exp they give...
Although if this was the case there shouldnt be lvl 5's lvling in an arena where lvl 30's would gain the most exp, so make it that their wepons miss or find it impossible to hit these monsters...
I am just posting this because i lvl at lower levels in arena's, and then when the chars are less pkable i move to outside of the arena's, like many other do...
Due to the exp reduction now it takes far longer to lvl within the arena's, this as i stated should be apparent, but not the extent it is.
Also if the arena's have been halfed from the exp of outside of cities, why have the Sand Vipers now give next to no exp that that did perviously ?

Before the modification, you got basically the same experience in an arena as you did outside of an arena. This took away from exploring the game. With the addition of more areas, level locking of others, and arena xp cut in 1/2, this has been fixed. I do think that some of the monsters in far off places need to be more appealing xp wise. I would like to see undead in other areas that give actual decent xp like demonic soldiers or skeletal beasts, etc. Fighter type has a wide variety of places to go and by all means should get out of the arenas to level. I personally level my alts outside of town almost always. I used to use Resthaven after it was made but then it got too crowded. There are places where I level and don't see anyone for quite some time.

I'm not really of fan of leveling in the arenas...much too boring. But I'm new to the game, so could you suggest some areas that a fighter can level in? I'm level 20

I really don't think it a good idea to tell you where i level my lower level alts cause that is saying HERE I AM COME PK ME, lol If you want to know, page me on Evangeline, Edge, Billy_the_kid, Billy_O as those are pretty much my regulars nowdays.

I dont think its a good way to get more players and newer players to STAY. I can take my mage and go out below arlin get 5-6 pk's in a matter of minute's. This type of thing may disscourage(sp :/) Many players from staying. Im not saying pking is wrong this is a pvp game and has allways been. But it seems this will take more players away then keep!

i agree, lvling in arenas is far too boring, people shouldn't be able to lvl in what is meant to be a higher lvling arena. and most of all this wion't attract too many players...
I would hate to have to lvl a mage in the "outside" * Morbit cowers at now knowing there is an outside world, besides nightmist and his computer....

I'm glad EXP was CUT in the Arena's. I got tired of hearing how much BOD got from someone who never left even left the city of RH to go on gold runs and stuff (well at least most of the time if not all the time). I found myself going somewhere i haven't been in a while, and i'm not going to say where either.

I agree with the exp change. I admit iused to be the one who was always in da areanas in RH from level 1. lol. Now that the exp sucks in areanas im neva there, and i have found many new places to go ty.

Dropping the monster gold was the original plan to make people leave the arena's, seems that didn't work they dropped the exp given as well. Go train for more money and more exp.

Gold on arena monsters is already low enough.
The game was already skewed enough toward the PKs and the power groups like BoD that can take their chars outside to level without worry. And Evil players have no consequences for taking a path which from the start is much easier. Even in real life it is much easier to get ahead taking the path of evil, how much more so in a game like this where there are no consequences at all. But it is JLH game and if he wants to make it even easier for them that is up to him. We are lucky at least you can't be PKd in arenas and towns (usually).

You guys know what the word "like" means ??
And you shouldn't take offense. You choose the way you play because you like to play that way. Games like this would be boring without evil aligned players. I have posted previously suggestions for advantages and disadvantages for alignments of chars. For example, if you are evil aligned you have the advantage of being able to attack anyone you want whenver you want. Killing weaker players for the gold they get while trying to level is much easier than killing the monsters for it. You should have the disadvantage of greater loss of exp, loss of levels, and even delays on resurrection since evil gods could really care less about their followers.
Half experience in arenas is reasonable. But it already was that. Gold is much less in arenas. There was already plenty of encouragement to level outside. The only people that would have wanted JLH to cut it even more are the PKs that wern't satisfied. And the only reason so many people were leveling inside is because of the extreme number of PKs.

Yes I am a pker not always vicious but yes I admit I'm a pker. That doesnt make me a bad or an evil person and geez u'd think only bod pks from the way that some ppl talk, not so ppl so deal. Many ppl seem to have this idea that bod is made up of evil nasty ppl it's not, many of the members are some of the nicest ppl ig. I have a great time in bod we have fun. if that makes us evil well them I'm the devil's lova cuz how much more evil can u get 
Just cuz a person is high lvl doesnt mean that they can lvl without someone trying to pk them or them getting pked, just if that happens to a member of bod the clan will help that person that's just how it is. Pks happen to everyone no one is exempt from then. I have low lvl alts I'm training atm and yes they have been pked and yes I have logged on my higher lvls and pked them back but that's what the game is about.

Le sigh...this game would be so much better without the belief that PKing is "what the game is about".
Not saying PKing needs to be eliminated...it's just much more fun when it isn't so prevalent. Does anyone besides me miss the big group quests that used to happen? I haven't had so much fun since Si unveiled the spider's nest...now I wouldn't dream of joining a party with anyone other that the few in my clan. Not to mention you can't even answer pages anymore without being threatened.
It's pathetic. And sad. And any other synonym you can come up with. Ah well..."all good things" etc.

LOL, I am not talking about real people here, I am talking about your chars. If a char attacks another char without provocation, much weaker than they are, they are evil alignment. I just happen to think that benefits and consequences of the alignment should be built into the game.
Under the accounts system, I would even say all your chars would have to be the same alignment. Good chars could not be in clans or parties with evil chars.
Even though alignments are not built into the game, I still play as if they were.

..lol, all the current pkers I've seen are pathetic.
Especially the ones that sit one square away from a town all day then post all over the forums saying 'I AM A GUD PKEER'. Obviously I'm not against pking in itself, but it's an art. If you aren't going to do it right don't even bother because you all look like morons.
*Don't look a person over 17 times before attacking them - if you don't have the guts to attack someone without knowing their level or equipment, then you shouldn't bother in the first place.
*Don't gloat over a kill - rare exception being if you kill Pandilex in any way shape or form, you may gloat over this all you like. If you kill a level 9 whatever, then page them saying 'I AM GUD' you look like such a moron.
*Don't use alts - this is the biggy which none of you seem capable of. Put all your good equipment on one character, use healing potions, use whatever just don't log on 5 alts to go and kill levelers. I don't know what's harder to believe, the fact that people actually do this and consider themselves good or the fact that they actually try to defend their actions on the forums afterwards.
Anyone that can follow these, maybe I'll have a little respect for you, maybe the levelers or people that actually explore the game will have a chance. Oh and btw don't pregnant dog about them using alts against you, because if you're these 'big bad pkers' that you seem to think you are you'd be able to take down parties with one alt easily. Besides if you start the fight you should be able to finish it, one way or another.

Harky, I do agree with most of your little rant..But about looking people over and such? Hmm, sometimes I who people to make sure they aren't in my clan, would that be considered being a bad pker? 
And under accounts- having to pick one side, evil or good I don't agree with, like most role-playing games you should be allowed to play each character how you like..
